The final scene of the pilot really should have been at the hospital where Peter's two fathers meet. The scene at the club would have been weeks later since Peter's shoulder appeared to have completely healed without even having any decrease in range of motion. I like this version better and would add more where Peter wakes up to find both of them there for him.

I love the scene you started with. I can remember watching the pilot - when that scene came on and Peter had not one but TWO dads I went from liking it to loving it. I'll always remember that.
How hard it must have been for both Paul and KCC when they found out they had competition. I love that Paul keeps his hand on Peter while talking to Caine. Nice touch.
