Beautiful story so far (1 chapter in). I loved Paul's reaction to his first glimpse of Peter in that condition and his thought of what it meant that this was "better."
The bit about Kelly having slept the same way a nice bit of realistic filler. I mean, irrelevant to plot, but real-feeling and it really makes the scene feel more real.
Loved Caine's reaction to Paul's actions - very in character.
